About IACCS
Subsequent to the advent of the community-based integrated screening model in Taiwan around the early 2000s, which served as our catalyst for initiating IACCS, we have developed several successful specific screening models for different cancers in various countries. Several classical examples are worthy of emphasis, including the high-risk model for colorectal cancer screening in Singapore, the alternative imaging technique such as ultrasound screening for breast cancer in Japan, integrated chronic disease prevention within cancer screening in Korea, a population-based randomized controlled trial on the fecal immunochemical test (FIT) in Thailand, and new oral cancer prevention modes in Malaysia and Taiwan.
We have had a great time at each venue of our IACCS events on different occasions over the past decade, including Taiwan, Singapore, Thailand, Korea, and Indonesia (Bali). We have also exchanged and shared the experiences of cancer screening already executed or in the planning stage in each country.
